Teaching Assistant Positions

Paid Positions

Work directly with children in our classrooms, assisting lead teachers with daily activities and providing individual attention. TAs are essential members of our educational team.

  • Assist with implementation of daily classroom activities
  • Provide individual attention to children with different learning needs
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment
  • Participate in mandatory TA meetings
  • Support lead teachers with classroom management

State Requirement: All TAs are required by the state to complete an EEC orientation and register with the EEC. More information is available on our Essential Information page.

Meetings: TA meetings are MANDATORY. Watch for emails and signs regarding meeting dates.

Experiential Internships

We offer experiential internships in collaboration with specific Brandeis University courses. These internships provide hands-on experience in early childhood education within a structured academic framework.

Course Collaboration: Our internships are designed to complement specific academic courses. If you believe your course internship requirements could be fulfilled at Lemberg, please contact our hiring manager to discuss possibilities.

  • Gain practical experience in early childhood education
  • Apply theoretical knowledge in real classroom settings
  • Work under the guidance of experienced mentor teachers
  • Participate in reflective practice and professional development
  • Complete internship requirements for academic credit

Academic Program Collaborations

We work in close collaboration with several Brandeis University academic programs to provide meaningful educational experiences for students.

Education Program: We partner with the Brandeis Education Program to offer field placements, observation opportunities, and practical teaching experiences for education majors and minors.

Environmental Studies: Our outdoor classroom and nature-based curriculum provide unique opportunities for Environmental Studies students interested in ecological education, sustainability, and nature-based learning.

Information for All Student Employees & Interns

Class Schedules: Please remember to submit your class schedule every semester through our designated online work scheduler.

Physical Exams: We need an up-to-date physical (from within the past one year) in our records at all times. Go to the Forms page for a copy of our medical release, or simply call your doctor and have them mail or fax us a note.

Calendar Note: Brandeis and Lemberg do not always operate on the same schedule — check our office calendar for our dates of operation!
